125mm x 50mm Stackable Surfacing Head, 1-13/16 in. Bore

Description

The IS1255B is a 125mm OD, 50mm wide stackable surfacing head with 1-13/16 in. bore for large-bore production shapers and industrial spindle moulders. The 1-13/16 in. bore accommodates the heavier-duty spindles found on industrial-grade shapers and wide-table moulders in high-volume manufacturing environments where the standard 1-1/4 in. or 1-1/2 in. bore heads cannot achieve the required spindle fit for rigid, vibration-free surfacing operation. The IS1255B delivers the same 125mm OD and 50mm working width as the IS1255 (40mm bore) and IS1255A (1-1/2 in. bore), and can be stacked with other IS125x series heads to build composite working widths. Large-bore heads transfer cutting forces to the spindle more rigidly, reducing vibration tendency in wide surfacing operations at elevated feed rates. IS1265 gibs are the replacement clamping components for 50mm IS125x heads. Confirm the 1-13/16 in. bore matches the spindle nominal diameter before ordering.
