Description
The IN500 is a 4 in. OD, 1 in. cutting edge length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 6-wing indexable groove and rabbet head with 3 carbide spurs per side. The spur inserts score the panel surface ahead of the main carbide cutters, preventing tear-out and face chipping in veneer-faced panels, melamine-coated MDF, and prefinished sheet goods where surface damage at the groove entry is visible in the finished piece. Six wings and 6 main cutter seats provide smooth, high-frequency cutting for a fine surface finish on groove walls, while the spur inserts on each side establish a clean-scored entry line before material removal begins. The 4 in. OD at 1 in. CEL cuts grooves and rabbets to 1 in. depth in a single shaper pass. The IN5006 (6 in. OD) and IN5008 (8 in. OD) provide larger diameter variants for deeper cuts or higher production rates. Main inserts and spur inserts are ordered separately; confirm insert specifications for the IN500 body.
