Description
The GW347C is a 150 grit copper-clad Borazon (CBN) grinding wheel for moulder knife profiling on the Weinig Rondamat — the finest grit in the GW345C Borazon series, designed for finishing passes that produce a sharper, smoother knife edge than coarser 120 grit wheels can achieve. The 1mm radius edge tracks tight profile curves while the finer grit leaves a better surface finish on the ground edge, reducing the amount of hand-honing or stropping needed before the knife is production-ready. 8mm Borazon depth provides long wheel life across many dressing cycles. At 2mm width, the GW347C is maneuverable for profiling tight or complex knife geometries. The typical workflow in HSS knife grinding is to rough and profile at 120 grit (GW343C, GW344C, GW346C) then finish at 150 grit (GW347C) for edge quality. CBN abrasive generates significantly less heat than vitrified aluminum oxide on HSS, preserving knife edge hardness throughout the grinding process.
