Description

The MH201P6 is a 4 in. OD, 1 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 20° hook angle for production moulders and shapers. Corrugated back knife heads lock straight-back profile knives in precision-machined corrugated seat pockets — the meshing corrugations prevent knife creep under cutting forces without relying solely on wedge tension, maintaining profile accuracy across extended runs. The 1 in. knife seat accommodates thin-profile work: small bead, chamfer, and roundover profiles in trim moulding and furniture components. The 20° hook angle is the standard production hook for softwood and mixed-species architectural moulding work. Two-pocket balance suits the 4 in. OD at safe moulder speeds. The MH20xP6 series offers 1 in. through 6 in. CEL at the same 4 in. OD and 1-1/4 in. bore; the MH201P6 is the narrowest, suited to profiles where the full knife width is 1 in. or less.
