Description

The MH101PD is a 4 in. OD, 1 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 4-pocket dual-angle corrugated back knife head with 12° and 20° hook angle seats in a single body. Dual-angle heads carry two sets of knife seats at different hook angles — the 12° seats for hardwood and high-density profiles where a shallower hook reduces chipping and produces a cleaner surface, and the 20° seats for softwood and standard production moulding where the steeper hook provides better chip clearance. In a shop running mixed hardwood/softwood profiles, the dual-angle head allows the operator to use the appropriate hook geometry for each material by seating knives in the corresponding pocket angle — without changing head bodies. The 1 in. CEL covers narrow bead and chamfer profiles. Corrugated back retention maintains knife position in both seat angle configurations under production load. The MH10xPD series spans 1 in. through 6 in. CEL at constant 4 in. OD and 1-1/4 in. bore. Knives sold separately.
