Description

The MH106P6 is a 4 in. OD, 6 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 4-pocket corrugated back knife head with 20° hook — the maximum CEL in the MH10xP6 4-pocket series. The 6 in. knife seat at 4-pocket capacity covers the tallest architectural profiles cut on production moulders: oversized crown moulding returns, full-height entablature profiles, and complex tall millwork components where a single full-height pass eliminates multiple overlapping setups. At 6 in. CEL with 4-pocket loading, knife mass, balance, and projection are at the extreme end of what a 4 in. OD head can safely carry — head balance verification and knife matching to tight weight tolerance is mandatory before operating at speed. Corrugated back knife retention in all four seats is critical at this CEL to prevent knife movement under the highest cutting forces in the series. The 20° hook provides standard chip clearance for softwood production moulding. Consult safe operating speed guidelines for 4 in. OD heads at 6 in. CEL. Knives sold separately.
