Description

The MH206P6 is a 4 in. OD, 6 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 20° hook — the maximum CEL in the MH20xP6 series. The 6 in. knife seat handles the tallest architectural moulding profiles cut on a standard production moulder: extra-tall crown moulding returns, full-height entablature profile runs, and large decorative millwork elements where a 5 in. knife would not cover the full profile in a single pass. Corrugated back positive locking is essential at this CEL — extended knife exposure magnifies any knife movement during cutting, making the corrugated seat’s anti-creep geometry critical for profile accuracy and operator safety. The 20° hook provides chip clearance for softwood and mixed-species moulding. Confirm knife grinding, balance, projection, and the operating speed are within the head manufacturer’s safe parameters before running the MH206P6 at full CEL.
