Profile 040 is one of three distinct cove radii in Freeborn’s CDIC series, each representing a specific arc depth for matching to door design drawings or Freeborn’s profile catalog. The FB-CDIC-040-2pc delivers it in a 2-piece Multi-Profile stile-and-rail insert set: the stile head cuts the cove profile and panel groove in one pass; the cope head machines the matching joint on rail ends. Multi-Profile head bodies share compatibility across Freeborn’s CDIC insert line, so the same heads can be fitted with different profile inserts as production requirements change — fewer heads to stock, less capital tied up in tooling. 1-1/4″ bore, 4-1/2″ OD, 3-1/2″ minor diameter, 3-wing CCW, for 3/4″ to 7/8″ door stock, standard depth of pattern. Carbide or T-Alloy inserts available. The 3-piece FB-CDIC-040-3pc adds a shimmed cope head for adjustable joint depth across variable batches.
