The SCH-QC-TER-180mm-D is a 180mm Schmidt Terminus double-sided reversible quick-change planer knife for machines with 180mm Terminus heads. The 180mm length is a standard mid-production width covering a wide range of architectural moulding and furniture component applications in European and North American production equipment. The Terminus system’s tool-free, calibration-free knife change process combined with the double-sided knife’s two usable cutting edges means fast changeovers and extended service intervals without a regrinding step. No sharpening required. Available in 18% Tungsten T1 HSS steel for general softwood and mixed-species production or carbide for hardwood-intensive production runs in oak, maple, beech, and walnut, and for abrasive manufactured sheet materials where steel edge life is insufficient. Carbide selection at 180mm reduces knife change frequency significantly in hardwood production, improving throughput on longer runs.
