The MH448DM is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 8 in. cut length, 40mm bore, 4-pocket dual-angle corrugated back moulder head with 12° and 20° hook seats — the metric bore version of the MH448D for European 40mm-spindle industrial moulders. At 8 in. CEL in a dual-angle 4-pocket 40mm-bore head, this is one of the most capable configurations in the MH44x metric range: maximum practical profile coverage for European industrial production in both hardwood and softwood, with hook angle selection by material type. The 12° seats handle the surface quality demands of dense European hardwoods at maximum CEL; the 20° seats serve softwood production with efficient chip clearance. At 8 in. CEL, precision knife weight matching, balance verification, confirmed safe speed, and appropriate machine guarding are all required before operation. The MH449DM does not exist; MH448DM is the maximum CEL available in the dual-angle metric series. The MH448D (1-1/2 in. bore) is the North American equivalent. Knives sold separately.
