Description

The MH448 is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 8 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 4-pocket corrugated back moulder head with 15° hook — an industrial-grade head for wide-bed production moulding. The 8 in. CEL in 4-pocket configuration handles the widest architectural moulding profiles: oversized panel elements, tall door stile assemblies, and large-scale decorative millwork production where the full 8 in. profile height must be cut in a single pass. Four-knife cutting at 8 in. CEL provides better surface finish than a 2-pocket head at the same CEL, supporting higher production rates on very tall, demanding profiles. The 4-13/16 in. OD and 15° hook provide chip clearance and hardwood surface quality at maximum industrial CEL. At 8 in. with four knives, this head carries the highest knife mass of any standard CEL in the series — matched knife sets, balance verification, confirmed safe speed, and appropriate guarding are all mandatory before use on industrial equipment.
