Description

The INKS412 provides a box of 10 solid carbide 12 x 12 x 1.5mm reversible square knife inserts for Schmidt indexable insert heads with compact insert seat geometry. At 12 x 12mm, the INKS412 is a square insert that can be indexed four times — rotating 90 degrees on each index to expose a fresh corner — before the insert is retired, providing four effective cutting edges per insert. The compact 12 x 12mm profile suits insert heads in smaller-diameter or space-constrained configurations where a 15mm insert would not fit the seat geometry. Reversible square inserts are commonly used in profiling heads, smaller groove-and-rabbet heads, and insert cutterheads where the compact geometry accommodates the head’s multi-seat design. The 1.5mm thickness is consistent with other INKS knife inserts in this series. Sold in boxes of 10. Confirm head model seat dimensions accept 12 x 12mm geometry before ordering.
