Insert screws can become stripped or damaged over repeated insert changes in production environments — a damaged screw cannot provide consistent clamping torque and should be replaced immediately to prevent insert movement during cutting. Maintaining a supply of replacement screws at the machine with the insert heads eliminates production delays when screw damage occurs during insert rotation cycles.
