Description
The Schmidt RCB2354 is a 2-flute solid-carbide ball-nose router bit at 1/2″” dia × 1/2″” shank × 1-1/4″” cut, 3″” OAL. Ball-nose bits feature a hemispherical tip that enables 3-dimensional profiling, scalloped relief carving, curved surface finishing, and V-carving with a rounded base — applications that require the bit to follow curved toolpaths that a flat-end bit cannot execute without gouging. Used in CNC routing for 3D signage, relief panels, furniture carvings, curved furniture components, artistic millwork, and any toolpath where the cutter must transition between depths continuously. The 1/2″-inch diameter determines the minimum inside radius achievable in the cut and the scallop height at a given stepover during surface finishing passes. Reduce stepover percentage for finer surface finish; increase stepover for faster machine time with a more visible scallop pattern. Solid carbide for rigidity and edge life in 3D profiling on wood, MDF, and foam.
