The PM121B is the bottom cope head replacement for the Powermatic 2A double-end tenoner, a 4 in. x 3/4 in. corrugated back 2-knife head with 5/8 in. threaded bore for the lower tenon spindle. On the Powermatic 2A floor model tenoner, separate top and bottom cope heads cut the shoulder and cheek profiles on the top and bottom faces of the tenon in a single machine pass. The corrugated back head design uses straight HSS knives locked in a corrugated groove cutter body — a traditional tenoning head geometry that produces clean shoulder cuts in solid wood tenon production for furniture rails, door rails, window components, and structural timber joinery. When the PM121B cope head wears or is damaged, this replacement head restores bottom-spindle tenoning capability without replacing the entire machine’s tooling assembly.
