Description

The MH105P6 is a 4 in. OD, 5 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 4-pocket corrugated back knife head with 20° hook angle. At 5 in. CEL in a 4-pocket head, the MH105P6 handles the tallest practical profiles for a standard 4 in. OD production head — large crown returns, full-height colonial casing, and tall architectural millwork profiles — while the four-knife geometry delivers the improved surface finish and feed rate advantage over comparable 2-pocket heads. Corrugated back retention is especially important at 5 in. knife exposure where any knife movement under load magnifies surface variation in the finished profile. Knife mass at 5 in. CEL is substantial — all four knives must be ground and balanced to matched specifications before mounting, and head balance must be confirmed before operating at production speed. The 20° hook provides chip clearance for softwood architectural moulding. The MH106P6 (6 in.) is the maximum CEL in the MH10xP6 series. Knives sold separately.
