Description

The IN402 is a 4 in. OD, 2 in. cutting edge length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 4-wing indexable profiling head for production shapers. Indexable profiling heads accept replaceable carbide inserts in precision-machined seat pockets — when inserts wear, they are replaced or rotated at the head body without regrinding, eliminating the downtime of conventional solid-carbide or brazed-tip cutter service. The IN402 body with 2 in. CEL suits profiling work requiring a shallow-to-mid-height profile cut in a single pass: casing and base profiles, decorative edge treatments, and material removal passes in solid wood and MDF. The 4-wing arrangement provides smooth cutting dynamics and good surface finish for profiles requiring fine surface quality. The IN402 is the shortest CEL in the IN40X series; for taller profile cuts the IN403 (3 in.), IN404 (4 in.), IN405 (5 in.), or IN406 (6 in.) provide additional CEL options. Inserts and insert screws are ordered separately; confirm insert compatibility with the IN402 body before ordering.
