Description
The WC216C is a carbide-tipped 3-wing stile and rail cutter set with a 3/8-inch bead on the inside profile edge — 4-inch diameter, 1-1/4-inch bore. The bead adds a decorative raised rounded element along the inside edge of the door frame stile and rail, a detail associated with traditional furniture, mission-style cabinetry, and period millwork door designs. The cope and stick joinery geometry interlocks at the stile-rail corners in the same manner as a plain stile and rail set, but the beaded profile gives the frame a more ornate character than a plain or ovolo edge. Carbide tipping provides production-grade service life in hardwood. For the plain profile version, see WC215C (carbide) and WC215EE (S-alloy). For the eased edge profile, see WC217EEC.
