Description

The GW205C is a vitrified ceramic aluminum oxide grinding wheel with a 7-inch raised hub configuration, sized for moulder knife grinders using the 10-inch imperial wheel format — specifically Utma, Foley, Diehl, and Oliver platforms. The raised hub positions the wheel face offset from the flange for clearance in the grinder head geometry used on these machines. Ceramic aluminum oxide abrasive runs cooler and lasts longer than standard aluminum oxide, a significant advantage in a production knife grinding environment where thermal damage to HSS knife edges and frequent wheel replacement both cost money. At 1/8” wide and 10” diameter, GW205C is a narrower profiling wheel suited to precision profile passes rather than heavy stock removal. 1-1/4” bore fits the standard imperial knife grinder spindle used across Utma, Foley, Diehl, and Oliver machines.
