The ID3430 is a dedicated 3-wing insert cutter head, 4″–5″ diameter with a 30mm insert (cutting) width, for running one fixed profile over long production runs at consistent quality. Where the same profile is cut repeatedly — and especially in abrasive man-made materials — a dedicated head removes cutter swaps between jobs and keeps downtime low: the C4 carbide inserts index to a fresh edge with repeatable accuracy. Made to industry-standard dimensions, the inserts are readily available and outlast comparable brazed tooling many times over; depending on width and depth of the profile, multiple cutting edges can be ground onto a single insert for lower cost per edge. Standard bores are 30mm, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″, 40mm, 1-13/16″, and 2-1/8″; black-oxide finish. Additional wings or hydro bores quoted on request.
