The ID3425 is a dedicated 3-wing insert cutter head, 4″–5″ diameter with a 25mm insert (cutting) width, for running one fixed profile over long production runs. Dedicated heads are the economical choice where a consistent small-to-mid moulding profile is cut repeatedly and in abrasive man-made materials: no cutter swaps between jobs, and minimal downtime because the C4 carbide inserts index to a fresh edge with repeatable accuracy. The inserts are made to industry-standard dimensions, are readily available, and outlast comparable brazed tooling many times over; depending on the profile, multiple edges can be ground on one insert. Standard bores are 30mm, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″, 40mm, 1-13/16″, and 2-1/8″; black-oxide finish. Additional wings or hydro bores for higher speeds quoted on request.
