Description

The TN304X is a 25-inch XLW high-performance HSS smooth-back planer and jointer knife bar, 2-1/4 inches wide and 3/16 inches thick. At 2-1/4-inch width, this bar is suited to deep profile cuts — wide architectural sticking profiles, door and window knife configurations, and moulder head setups where a tall knife section is required to span the full profile height. Smooth-back format for gib-clamped knife systems; 3/16-inch thickness matches the head slot specification. XLW HP alloy at this knife width delivers extended edge retention over standard T1 or M2, which at 2-1/4 inches is especially valuable: grinding a wide knife profile is more time-consuming, so each additional grind interval avoided translates to a larger production benefit. Bar-length stock: cut from the 25-inch bar to required knife lengths. Ground on standard HSS surface grinding equipment. Confirm head accepts 3/16″-thick smooth-back stock at 2-1/4″ height.
