4-1/2 in. Insert Rail Head, 3-Wing, 1-1/4 in. Bore, Shaker Pattern — Tongue

Description

Cuts the tongue on shaker cabinet door rail ends — the 4-1/2 in. tongue body in Schmidt’s insert shaker set. Three wings on a 1-1/4 in. bore run counter-clockwise with the wood face down, seating 30mm carbide ISR70 tongue inserts (ISR70RC, or ISR70RCEE for an eased edge). The tongue it cuts keys into the groove from the matching ISRH700S stile head to form the flat, square shaker cope-and-stick joint. The same ISR70 inserts also run in the 4 in. ISRH70R body, so inserts standardize across both diameters. Sold as the body only; inserts ordered separately. Also available as the 4 in. ISRH70R.
