Description

The GW100 is a V-54 vitrified aluminum oxide grinding wheel in the standard Weinig Rondamat metric format — 225mm outer diameter, 5mm wide, and 60mm bore. V-54 grit vitrified aluminum oxide is the most commonly used wheel specification for general-purpose HSS moulder knife profiling: medium grit provides a balance between stock removal rate and surface finish quality, appropriate for both profiling passes and final surface passes on a freshly ground knife. Vitrified bonded aluminum oxide is free-cutting — the glass-like bond matrix fractures progressively, exposing fresh abrasive grains and maintaining cut rate without loading as the wheel wears. For Weinig Rondamat grinders, the 225mm x 60mm bore format is the standard replaceable wheel size across the 930, 934, 950, and 960 grinder platforms.
