Description

The MH464 is a 137mm OD, 230mm cut length, 1-13/16 in. bore, 4-pocket corrugated back knife head with 22° hook — the maximum CEL in the MH46x 4-pocket series. The 230mm (approximately 9 in.) knife seat provides the widest single-pass profile coverage in the 137mm metric series, suited to the widest architectural panel elements, maximum-height door and frame assemblies, and broad decorative millwork components produced on heavy industrial metric-spindle moulder equipment. Four-pocket cutting at 230mm CEL delivers improved surface finish over 2-pocket designs at the same extreme CEL, justifying the higher knife mass requirement. At 230mm, precision knife weight matching, confirmed head balance, verified safe operating speed, and proper machine guarding are all mandatory before use. The 1-13/16 in. bore fits the heavy industrial spindle specification for 137mm-class moulders. The MH4642 is the 2-pocket version. This is the tallest 4-pocket head in the MH46x metric series.
