Description

The MH4612 is a 137mm OD, 50mm cut length, 1-13/16 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 22° hook for metric-specification industrial production moulders. The 50mm knife seat handles narrow to light-medium profiles — small bead, step, decorative detail, and shallow architectural trim — where the profile height is within 50mm and 2-pocket balanced cutting is sufficient for the feed rate and surface quality required. The 137mm OD and 1-13/16 in. bore correspond to a specific European industrial moulder spindle and head standard. The 22° hook angle provides efficient chip clearance for mixed-species production moulding. Two-pocket construction is appropriate for narrow CEL profiles where knife mass is relatively low and 4-pocket construction would add complexity without meaningful surface finish benefit. The MH461 is the 4-pocket equivalent for higher feed rates or improved finish. The MH4622 (100mm) is the next step up in CEL for taller profiles. Knives sold separately.
