Description

The MH445D is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 5 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 4-pocket dual-angle corrugated back moulder head with 12° and 20° hook seats. The 5 in. CEL in a dual-angle 4-pocket head handles tall architectural profiles — full crown moulding, large door casing, and architectural millwork — with the ability to run dense hardwoods in the 12° seats for tear-free surface quality and softwoods in the 20° seats for higher chip clearance, all from the same head body. This is a production efficiency advantage in shops that run mixed-species or hardwood/softwood production on the same moulder between setups. Note that the MH445D does not have a 40mm metric bore variant (MH445DM); shops needing dual angle at 5 in. CEL on metric spindles must verify this before ordering. At 5 in. CEL, matched knife sets and head balance confirmation are required. The MH446D (6 in.) provides greater CEL for taller profiles. Knives sold separately.
