Description
The MH445 is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 5 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 4-pocket corrugated back moulder head with 15° hook. At 5 in. CEL in a 4-pocket head, the MH445 handles tall profile moulding — full crown, large door casing, and architectural millwork components — with the surface finish and feed rate advantages that four-knife cutting geometry provides over comparable 2-pocket designs. The 4-13/16 in. OD delivers chip clearance at 5 in. knife exposure; the 15° hook reduces surface tearout on dense hardwood species. At 5 in. CEL with four knives, knife mass requires careful weight matching and head balance confirmation before operating at production speed. The 1-1/2 in. bore fits heavy North American production moulder spindles. In the MH44x 4-pocket standard series, the MH445 sits between the MH444 (4 in.) and MH446 (6 in.) for profiles in the 4 to 6 in. height range. Knives sold separately.
