Description

The MH4442M is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 4 in. cut length, 40mm bore, 2-pocket corrugated back moulder head with 15° hook — the 40mm metric bore version of the MH4442 for European-specification production moulders. The 4 in. knife seat at 4-13/16 in. OD covers the standard production profile range — door casing, base moulding, chair rail, and moderate crown profiles — on metric-spindle equipment. European moulder machinery using 40mm spindle standards cannot safely run the 1-1/2 in. inch-bore MH4442; the MH4442M provides the same head geometry and 15° hook with the correct metric bore. The 15° hook reduces surface tearout on hardwood moulding profiles that run on European equipment in mixed hardwood/softwood operations. The 2-pocket design provides balanced cutting at the 4-13/16 in. OD. Confirm actual spindle bore specification before ordering — bore fit directly affects head runout and cutting accuracy. The MH4442 (1-1/2 in. bore) is the inch-bore equivalent. Knives sold separately.
