The MH4422M is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 2-1/4 in. cut length, 40mm bore, 2-pocket corrugated back moulder head with 15° hook — the metric bore version of the MH4422 for production moulders with European 40mm spindle specifications. Shops running European-origin machinery — moulder brands including Weinig, Wadkin, and similar — typically require 40mm bore heads to achieve proper fit and runout tolerance on the metric spindle. The 4-13/16 in. OD and 15° hook geometry are identical to the inch-bore MH4422, providing the same peripheral speed advantage and hardwood surface quality. The 2-1/4 in. knife seat handles narrow trim and light decorative profiles. Corrugated back retention locks straight-back profile knives in the precision seat pockets. Confirm that the spindle bore is nominally 40mm — actual bore tolerance and fit vary by machine vintage and brand. The MH4422 is the 1-1/2 in. inch-bore equivalent. Knives sold separately.
