The HMC375X562 is a special-configuration hollow mortising chisel and bit set combining a 3/8-inch mortise size with a 9/16-inch outer dimension — a non-standard size set that falls between the standard 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch catalog sizes. Special-size chisel and bit sets are used when a specific machine requires a non-standard chisel-to-bit clearance dimension, or when the mortise application calls for a size outside the standard range.
