Straight Insert Cutter for Trim & Rabbet — 30mm Tip, Spurs

Description

The IC-22-016-SP is a straight insert cutter for trimming and shallow rabbet operations on the shaper. The 30mm carbide tip covers lighter trim and rabbet cuts — flush-trimming, shallow housings, and thin-material rabbets where a narrow cutting height is appropriate. Spurs are required for cross-grain or mixed-grain cuts to shear the wood fiber cleanly ahead of the main insert and prevent tear-out at the edge of the cut; for pure trimming along a flat reference face, spurs are not needed and can be omitted. The 4″ OD body runs on a 1-1/4″ bore spindle. The 60mm IC-22-032-SP handles deeper rabbets requiring more cutting height; the IC-22-ADJ adjustable groover covers variable-width groove cuts. Carbide insert tips are replaceable without retiring the 4″ cutter body. Spurs are available separately; confirm spur compatibility with your setup before ordering.
