Description
The MH442D is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 2-1/4 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 4-pocket dual-angle corrugated back moulder head with 12° and 20° hook seat positions. Dual-angle construction provides two hook geometries in a single head body: 12° seats for demanding hardwoods and dense-species profiles where the shallower hook reduces tearout and produces cleaner surface quality, and 20° seats for softwood and mixed-species production moulding where more aggressive chip clearance is needed. In a shop running both hardwood and softwood narrow profiles through the same moulder, the MH442D eliminates the need for two separate 2-1/4 in. CEL head bodies at different hook angles. The 4-13/16 in. OD and 4-pocket configuration provide peripheral speed and surface finish advantages. The 1-1/2 in. bore fits North American production spindles. The MH442 (15° single angle) and MH4422 (2-pocket) are single-angle alternatives. Knives sold separately.
