Description
The Schmidt RCC2364 is a 2-flute solid-carbide compression spiral router bit at 1/2″” dia × 1/2″” shank × 1-5/8″” cut, 3-1/2″” OAL. Compression spiral geometry combines an upcut section at the tip — for clean bottom-face finish and chip evacuation — with a downcut section toward the shank, which drives chips downward to produce a clean, tear-out-free top face simultaneously. The result is clean, chip-free edges on both faces in a single through-cut pass, making compression spirals the primary choice for laminated panels, veneered plywood, melamine-faced board, and HPL sheet goods on CNC router tables. Use for through-cuts only — the compression geometry requires both cutting sections to be engaged to produce clean results on both faces. For blind pockets, use a dedicated upcut or downcut spiral instead. Solid carbide construction delivers the wear resistance and geometric stability needed for production CNC routing in abrasive laminate and composite substrates.
