The QC300CC is a set of 3 corrugated back high-speed steel straight knives for the Schmidt Innovator quick-change cutterhead system — knife dimensions .865 inches wide by 2 inches tall by 5/16 inches thick, ground for counter-clockwise spindle rotation. Straight knives are used in the Innovator cutterhead body for surfacing passes, facing operations, and straight moulding cuts in solid wood, producing a flat, clean surface rather than a profile. The corrugated back geometry mechanically locks into the matching corrugated gripping surface in the cutterhead, holding the knife securely under cutting forces without requiring individual knife-height setting with a jointing setup. Counter-clockwise rotation matches the standard US shaper spindle direction — for CW rotation machines, see QC300CW.
