The QC100SLCC is a 3-piece Schure-Lock carbide panel raising knife set for the Schmidt Innovator cutterhead — Profile 0, sized for 3/4-inch thick raised panel stock, counter-clockwise spindle rotation. Schure-Lock carbide knives use a precision locking geometry that holds the knife securely in the cutterhead body with excellent repeatability on knife changes — when a carbide edge dulls, the knife is replaced and the profile re-establishes immediately without height-setting adjustment. Carbide tipping provides significantly longer service life than the corrugated back HSS alternative (QC100CC) in hardwood production environments — hardwoods such as oak, maple, cherry, and walnut dull HSS knives quickly, and the slower resharpening cycle of brazed or insert carbide versus HSS makes the SL carbide versions cost-effective at volume.
