Description
The 120mm scoring blade with a 5/8 in. bore fits the scoring arbor on panel saws configured for North American-bore scoring assemblies at this blade diameter. Scoring blades run at the leading edge of the main blade path, cutting a shallow pre-score in the bottom face of the panel before the main saw blade exits through the bottom surface — this pre-scoring action prevents the chip-out and face delamination that melamine, HPL, and veneer-faced panel materials are susceptible to at the bottom face exit point. At 24 teeth on 120mm, this blade provides adequate tooth density for a clean, consistent score in the laminate surface at production panel saw feed rates. The 5/8 in. bore accommodates scoring arbor configurations found on panel saws spec’d with North American bore sizes for the scoring assembly. Carbide tips are ground to maintain consistent scoring geometry through production panel saw use in high-volume cutting of melamine-faced board, veneer-faced plywood, and laminate-surfaced panel goods. Being a conical scoring blade, it cuts an adjustable score width of 4.3–5.3mm — raise or lower the blade to match the main-blade kerf exactly.
