Description
Scoring blades run just ahead of and below the main saw blade on European sliding panel saws, pre-scoring the bottom face of the panel before the main blade cuts through. This pre-scoring action prevents the chip-out and delamination on the bottom face of melamine-faced board, veneer-faced plywood, and laminate-surfaced panel goods that would otherwise occur when the main blade exits through the unscored bottom surface. This 100mm, 10-tooth scoring blade on a 22mm bore is supplied as a 2-piece set — both scoring blades mount on the scoring arbor positioned below and ahead of the main blade to score both edges of the cut line simultaneously. At 100mm diameter and 22mm bore, this set fits the scoring arbor specification of European sliding panel saws designed for this blade size. Ten teeth at 100mm is adequate for the light-duty scoring pass that pre-cuts the surface laminate before the main blade removes the material. Carbide tips are ground to maintain consistent scoring performance through extended production panel saw use in high-volume melamine and laminate panel cutting environments. Being a conical scoring set, it cuts an adjustable score width of .110″–.141″ — raise or lower the blades to match the main-blade kerf exactly.
