Description

The MH102PD is a 4 in. OD, 3 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 4-pocket dual-angle corrugated back knife head with 12° and 20° hook seat positions. The 3 in. CEL addresses mid-height architectural moulding: door casing, standard base, and chair rail profiles in both hardwood and softwood materials. Dual-angle seats provide the flexibility to use 12° hook geometry for dense hardwoods — reducing surface tearout on oak or maple profiles — or 20° hook geometry for softwood production moulding with better chip clearance, using the same head body for both material categories. In custom millwork shops that run species-specific knife sets, the MH102PD allows profile knife inventory to be organized by hook angle rather than by head body, simplifying setup when switching between hardwood and softwood runs. Corrugated back retention locks knives in the selected seat angle under production load. The MH10xPD series ranges from 1 in. to 6 in. CEL. Knives sold separately.
