Description

The MH203P6 is a 4 in. OD, 3 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 20° hook angle. The 3 in. knife seat covers mid-height moulding profiles — full casing profiles, standard base moulding, small crown moulding, and chair rail profiles where the knife width falls between 2 and 3 in. Corrugated back locking secures straight-back profile knives in the precision-machined seat pockets, providing positive anti-creep retention under the lateral and centrifugal forces of continuous moulder operation without relying on friction clamping alone. The 20° hook angle gives efficient chip clearance for softwood and pine architectural moulding while remaining suitable for mixed hardwood/softwood production. At 4 in. OD and 1-1/4 in. bore, the MH203P6 fits standard production moulder and shaper spindles. Within the MH20xP6 series, the 3 in. CEL body is the mid-range option; taller profiles require the MH204P6 through MH206P6. Knives sold separately.
