Description

The SCH-QC-CEN-270mm-S is a 270mm replacement knife for Centrolock-style constant-diameter planer and moulder heads for machines with 270mm planing width. At 270mm, this knife serves larger production moulder and wide-bed planer configurations where full-width coverage in a single spindle pass is required for wide plank moulding, panel edge profiling, and wide architectural moulding. Centrolock constant-diameter geometry ensures accurate, consistent planing depth throughout the knife’s service life without re-setting between knife changes — critical for dimension-sensitive production in architectural millwork and furniture component manufacturing. Available in HSS for softwood and mixed-species production, or carbide for extended edge life in hardwood and abrasive manufactured material. Carbide is the preferred choice at 270mm for shops where knife grinding service is limited or where production continuity over extended runs in oak and similar hardwoods is the priority.
