Description
The WC215C is a carbide-tipped 3-wing stile and rail cutter set for shaper production of cabinet and furniture door frames — 4-inch diameter, 1-1/4-inch bore. Stile and rail sets cut the two mating profiles that allow rails to interlock with stiles in frame-and-panel door construction: the stick profile (cut on the stile inside edge) and the cope profile (cut on the rail ends) are machined to fit together. At 4 inches diameter on a 1-1/4-inch spindle, WC215C fits the standard mid-range production shaper format. Carbide tipping provides long service life across high-volume door frame production in hardwood species. For the same set in stellite alloy (S-alloy) tipping, see WC215EE. For a stile and rail set with a 3/8-inch bead profile on the inside edge, see WC216C. For 6-piece door sets sized for specific door thicknesses, see WC220C (1-3/4” doors) and WC222C (1-3/8” doors).
