Description

The AC801C is the Schmidt Jointer Jig Carbide W1212 — a knife-setting fixture for jointer machines, specifically designed for use with carbide-tipped jointer knives. Standard steel setting jigs can scratch or damage the exposed carbide tip surface when the jig contacts the cutting edge during setting; the carbide version uses a contact surface that is safe for carbide-tipped knives. The W1212 positions each carbide-tipped knife at the correct outfeed table height for proper jointing performance. For HSS knives, see the standard jointer jig (AC801). Accurate knife setting with the appropriate jig version ensures flat jointing results and prevents step marks caused by uneven knife height.
