Gib for IC240 Inserts and ID55 Flooring Heads

Description

The IC240GIB is the replacement gib — the precision steel wedge that clamps IC240-series carbide inserts in ID55-series flooring cutter head bodies. In insert cutter heads that use a gib clamping system rather than Torx screw fasteners, the gib wedges against the back of the insert under screw pressure, clamping the carbide insert firmly in the precision seat pocket and transmitting cutting forces through the gib to the head body. Gibs are subject to wear and deformation over repeated insert changes, particularly in high-cycle production environments where IC240 inserts are rotated frequently for flooring material processing. A worn or deformed gib cannot apply consistent clamping force, allowing insert movement during cutting and producing poor surface quality on flooring profiles. The IC240GIB replaces worn gibs in ID55 flooring heads accepting IC240 inserts. Confirm the head model uses IC240 inserts and the gib-clamp system before ordering.
