Description

The MH446M is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 6 in. cut length, 40mm bore, 4-pocket corrugated back moulder head with 15° hook — the 40mm metric bore equivalent of the MH446 for European production moulders. The 6 in. CEL at 4-pocket on 40mm-spindle wide-bed equipment handles tall architectural profiles in European millwork and furniture production: large crown, ornate decorative millwork, and full-height door components. Four-knife geometry provides surface finish and feed rate benefits over 2-pocket designs at 6 in. CEL on metric-spindle equipment. The 15° hook angle is appropriate for the dense hardwood species — beech, oak, ash, and walnut — commonly run on European moulder equipment. At 6 in. CEL, matched knife sets and head balance are mandatory. The MH446DM (dual angle 40mm) is available where 12°/20° knife seat flexibility is also needed. Confirm spindle bore before ordering.
