Description

The MH105PD is a 4 in. OD, 5 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 4-pocket dual-angle corrugated back knife head with 12° and 20° hook angle seat positions. At 5 in. CEL this is one of the tallest dual-angle heads in the MH10xPD series, handling large crown, oversized door casing, and architectural millwork profiles in both hardwood and softwood species. The dual-angle seat geometry allows the shop to run dense hardwoods in the 12° seats — reducing tearout on difficult grain in oak, hard maple, and cherry — and softwood production moulding in the 20° seats, without swapping head bodies between material changes. At 5 in. knife exposure in a 4-pocket head, knife mass is significant — weight-matched knife sets and head balance confirmation are critical before operating at moulder speed. Corrugated back locking prevents knife movement at extended CEL under production load. The MH106PD is the maximum CEL dual-angle head at 6 in. Knives sold separately.
