Description

The MH100PD is a 4 in. OD, 2 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 4-pocket dual-angle corrugated back knife head with 12° and 20° hook angle seat positions. Dual-angle construction allows one head body to serve two material types: the 12° seats produce cleaner surfaces with less tearout in dense hardwoods and difficult grain, while the 20° seats provide the more aggressive chip clearance needed for softwood and standard mixed-species production moulding. Shops running oak, maple, or walnut profiles on the same moulder as pine and poplar moulding can switch between hook geometries by using the corresponding knife seats — extending head versatility without duplicating body inventory. The 2 in. CEL suits casing, base, and moderate decorative profiles. Corrugated back knife retention locks knives in the selected seat angle without creep. The MH100PD is the 2 in. CEL option in the MH10xPD dual-angle series. The single-angle equivalent is MH100P6 (20° only). Knives sold separately.
