Description

The MH102P6 is a 4 in. OD, 3 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 4-pocket corrugated back knife head with 20° hook angle. The 4-pocket design provides more cutting engagements per revolution than 2-pocket heads at equivalent CEL, improving surface finish and supporting higher feed rates in production moulding. The 3 in. knife seat handles medium-height profiles: standard door casing, base moulding, and chair rail profiles in architectural trim and cabinet component production. Corrugated back retention locks straight-back profile knives in precision-machined corrugated seat pockets, preventing knife creep under production load. The 20° hook angle supports chip clearance for softwood and pine moulding. Four-pocket construction at 3 in. CEL requires balanced knife sets — all four knives must be ground and weighed to the same profile and mass before mounting to maintain head balance at operating speed. In the MH10xP6 series, MH102P6 is the 3 in. CEL option. Knives sold separately.
