Straight Insert Cutter for Trim & Rabbet — 60mm Tip, Spurs

Description

The IC-22-032-SP is a straight insert cutter for trim and rabbet operations requiring more cutting height than the 30mm IC-22-016-SP. The 60mm carbide tip doubles the cutting depth, handling deeper rabbets, thicker material passes, and situations where a single pass needs to remove more material. As with the 016-SP, spurs are required for cross-grain cuts to shear wood fiber cleanly ahead of the main insert and prevent edge tear-out; trimming passes along a reference face run without spurs. The 4″ OD body runs on a 1-1/4″ bore spindle. The 60mm tip makes this the right choice when rabbet depth exceeds what the 30mm insert covers, or when the workpiece thickness requires a taller cut — select the 016-SP for lighter trim and shallow rabbets, the 032-SP for deeper production rabbets. Carbide insert tips are replaceable without replacing the 4″ body.
