One sixteenth above the 3″ collar, the 3-1/16″ Pro-Line rub collar fills the intermediate position when the 3″ size runs slightly shallow and the 3-1/4″ overshoots the target. In door-frame production where cope-and-pattern geometry controls joint tightness and panel reveal, fine OD steps translate directly to fine control over the finished product. Sealed ball-bearing construction keeps the collar free-spinning at Pro-Line spindle speeds without maintenance. Freeborn machines the bore to close tolerances so switching from the 3″ to the 3-1/16″ is a pure depth change — no fit variation, no runout shift. Stock this size when working with profiles that fall between the standard sizes or when a specification calls for an exact panel height that fine-step increments can achieve.
